at 10pm last night, JP and i decided to venture outside with the simple goal of attaching the van to the trailer. one might think this is a seemingly quick and painless task. normally, yes. today, definitely not. this is how it panned out:

1) every lock on the trailer was frozen shut - back door, side door, and tongue lock.
2) once we unfroze all the locks with my mom's hair dryer, we opened the door and couldn't find the trailer ball.
3) once we located the trailer ball, it was upside down from what it should be (for our old van). so we tried it anyways.
4) it didn't work.
5) we searched for tools to turn the hitch right side up, and having located them, used some old elbow grease to fix it.
6) by the way, we went inside probably ten times because we got cold.
7) many more steps that are boring and mundane.
8) all in all, it took an hour and forty minutes to hook the trailer up to the van. it normally takes five.
9) to make matters worse, we had to leave at 5am this morning to drive down to atlanta.
10) because we are dumb, JP decided to play a game of Guitar Hero 3 before bed. we went to bed at 1:30am

now we made it to atlanta and we're hanging out at the hotel. earlier tonight we played the first session for "upgrade" at first baptist atlanta. we had a good time. i think it went pretty well - it's the first time we played in 2008 so it was good to knock the rust off. i'm excited about the new site. hopefully we can add a bunch more content for you guys to check out. we'll try to get some pictures and videos up as well. hope everyone is doing well. thanks for stopping by...
